On 1st April 2018 i..e April fool's day Cloudflare said it will be the the "Internet’s fastest", privacy-first consumer DNS service. Everyone thought it is a April fool's prank but its not.

Cloudflare promised that it is going to give privacy which is hard to track by Internet Service Providers(ISP's).

What is DNS and How does it work?

Domain Name System or Domain Name Server(DNS) which is used to resolve human-readable names into machine-readable addresses(typically, an IP Address).

For Example,when you search for certain website on internet,at first DNS resolver search for an IP address linked to that website.If found, it makes a connection with your browser then you will see that website loading in your browser.

Why you should use Cloudflares's 1.1.1.1 DNS Service?

Well! As they promised they are gonna give more speed and privacy than openDNS and Google DNS.
So,you can try it if you really care about your privacy especially.

How to configure 1.1.1.1 on your devices?

For Windows pc's:

• Navigate to control panel and click Network and Internet.
• Now click on change adapter settings
• Now choose your WiFi network,By right clicking on it you will see properties.
• Now click on IPv4 and properties.
• Now click on Use The Following DNS Server Addresses and replace the following addresses
• Use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 in the two entries                                                                                       
• For IPv4: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
• For IPv6: 2606:4700:4700::1111 and 2606:4700:4700::1001 
• Click OK then restart your pc 

For macOS:

System Preferences:

• Search for DNS servers and click on + button to add DNS server
• Then enter 1.1.1.1 
• Again click + button and add 1.0.0.1
• Click OK and restart your browser

For Android devices:

• Download DNS changer app from this link DNS CHANGER
• Open DNS Changer app and enter following addresses in the two entries.  

                            In 1.DNS enter 1.1.1.1
                            In 2.DNS enter 1.0.0.1

• Now tap on OK. 

Thats it! You have configured Cloudflares's 1.1.1.1 DNS in your device.
